Our rustic heavy coat hook is cast in heavy duty wrought iron with a matt black oil finish. These vintage hooks are sturdy hooks. They are 4 inches high and protruding by 5 inches. A classic black cottage style look for the home. Fixing screws are provided.

The upper arm of the heavy coat hook extends by 12.5 centimetres from the base plate and from top to bottom the hook measures 11 centimetres. The decorative ends are 1.9 centimetres? across situated on hook arms which are 1.4 centimetres in diameter. The lower hook has 4 cm of clearance vertically from the upper arm and 3.5 cm of clearance from the base plate so is easy to hang additional coats, scarves or umbrellas from.

Our cast iron coat hooks are all hand forged. So though similar will not be identical. Each piece is hand finished and given an oil coating. All our hand forged products are carefully aged for an authentic look.

We have had to source a good foundry to make this hook for us. We have found a small foundry that make these for us. The artisan smiths who work here are very passionate about the products they produce. These highly skilled casters are very proud of their work, and this will show in the finished product. The hooks are hand cast and hand cleaned and finished. After the hooks are complete, they are dipped in hot black oil. The hot black oil does two things. Firstly, it protects the hook from excessive rusting and secondly it gives this vintage hook a more even colour finish.

When you receive your delivery, you will have the correct number of fixing screws included to enable you to install your hook correctly. The screws are traditional and will be black with a slotted domed head.
