As you know from many of our other blog posts we love to see our products put to great use in your beautiful homes.
If like us your kitchen is the heart of your home, you will love seeing these photos of our customers’ kitchen rennovation projects using our authentic black iron cupboard handles, drawer knobs and black wrought iron door hinges.
Our solid cast iron bow handles come in a range of sizes and styles including with decorative fleur de lys ends, but we think the plain bean end handles that Silvana Robinson has chosen look fabulous.
Silvana gave her modern beech cabinets a simple make over by painting them white, for a classic cottage kitchen look. Replacing the chrome handles with our traditional black cast iron bow handles compliments the shaker style kitchen cupboards and has completely transformed the room.
Rachel Croce’s kitchen also looks amazing with grey shaker style kitchen units, this time using some of our sadly no longer available oval cabinet knobs on the cupboard doors as well as cup handles on the drawers.
The square cast iron D cup handles are still in stock however, so when Rachel came to add an island to her kitchen she was able to match the new handles to her existing drawer handles. Rachel is one of our many overseas customers and we are so thrilled to think of our traditional rustic ironmongery making it all the way to the USA!
From Massachussets back to Somerset, just down the road from us here at The Rustic Merchant, and another beautiful country kitchen using our classic cast iron bow handles.
Finally some hooks and hinges for a bit of variety. Our square D handles and penny end hinges in a range of sizes have been used throughout Lee Smith’s period property kitchen, and give a truly rustic feel to the room, used alongside his spectacular black range cooker and traditional butler sink.
Finally how better to display a vintage set of cast iron skillets than hanging them from some of our 3 inch penny end hooks, also finished in black to match the pans. Thank you to Ray Meen for sending in that photo.
Kitchens can be expensive to refurbish but we hope that our customers have given you some inspiration on how to add rustic appeal to your country kitchen without having to spend a fortune.
