Cranked Plain Slide Bolt

Our Cranked Plain Slide Bolt is a traditional cranked black slide bolt with a fishtail or curled handle. This is an effective little bolt for adding a vintage feel to cupboards, cloakroom doors, etc. The cranked bolt shaft means that it is more forgiving when bolting doors and door frames that don’t quite line up. On the standard version of a Our Cranked Plain Slide Bolt is an authentic 4-inch cottage style slide bolt with fishtail or curled handle detailing. This particular bolt is the cranked version which is suitable for doors and frames that don’t line up you’ll notice a knurl on top that prevents the bolt from sliding out of its casing. Below it, there’s a forged spring providing resistance during operation. We’ve substituted the knurl with a grubscrew, allowing you to adjust the tension as needed. Additionally, tightening this grubscrew can effectively lock the bolt in place. The lock will be supplied with an Allen key which enables you to put the bolt in any orientation. You can then adjust the tension to your desired position. This feature is unique to us.
