The Rustic Merchant is based in rural Somerset. We offer a wide range of hand forged traditional, vintage, rustic, window and door hardware ideal for building renovations or projects in need of period features.
We have spent many years building our range of products and invested a lot of time sourcing artisan blacksmiths who not only have the understanding of traditional hardware, but also have the skills to reproduce it.
All our wrought iron products are produced by hand, this means when we say our wrought iron products are handmade, they are all produced by hand on the anvil in the traditional way and will show signs of hand forging.
Our cast iron products are also produced in small foundries and are hand cast, once cast they are hand finished again making each item Unique.

Our online shop stocks coat hooks, T hinges and vintage door handles, alongside wrought iron latches, bolts and cast-iron cabinet handles. We also stock many more handmade items that are unique to us, unlike the products you would buy in a DIY stores. Once fitted, our products will look original and feel authentic.
