Black Suffolk Latch10″ A traditional 10-inch vintage thumb latch with a bean head design, suitable for doors up to 60mm in thickness. Our vintage thumb latch is an antique door latch and comes in a range of sizes and designs. This simple black bean end finish to the latch and old handle is classic and traditional. This antique style latch matches our bean head hinges.
The handle measures 24cm from top to bottom and the latch bar itself is 19cm long. The bean heads themselves are 5.5cm wide and the handle stands 5cm proud of the door providing plenty of space to grasp it.
Hand forged
Our wrought iron heavy-duty door latches are all individually hand forged, so they are similar but not identical. All our hand-forged products are carefully aged. Once installed these products will look old and authentic. This latch will go well with our Penny End Hinges
Forging The Latches
These latches are all hand-forged in the traditional and ancient way on the anvil. Once complete each latch is hand cleaned and hand polished.
Fixing screws will be included with your order.
