Privacy latch cupboard and door latch. You are looking at our 3-inch privacy latch. This latch if cast in heavy iron. The latch is strong and robust.

Fitting / Buying the right size.

As the privacy latch is surface mount it is fairly straightforward to fit. The main thing to look out for is the gap between the two fixing points. This is the space between the door and the frame. You will need to measure this before you think about your order. We are the only company that makes these privacy latches in a range of sizes. As you will be able to see if you look at our range of latches, they are available in different sizes. The size of the latch is defined by the length of the latch bar. The longer the bar the wider the gap it will be able to span.  The bar can fit anywhere in the catch.

Uses

This is a very useful latch and can be used for many applications.

Bathroom latch. The latch can be installed on the inside of a bathroom or loo door as a privacy catch.

Cupboard Latch. The latch makes a great looking lock for kitchen cupboards in a rustic kitchen.

Shutter Latch the Latch can be used to hold wooden shutters closed.

Gate Latch The latch can be used to hold gates shut.
