Privacy latch. You are looking at one of our ranges of privacy latches. Cupboard Privacy Latch 5″ We are very proud of this range as we are the only company that make these in a selection of sizes. These latches are available in two-inch, three-inch, four inch and five inches. When selecting which latch is right for your application, the first thing you should consider is the gap. The gap is the area between the surfaces you are trying to bridge and the catch. If you were fitting the latch to a door, the gap would be the distance from the door frame to the edge of the door. As the latches come in various sizes, you will be able to find one suitable for your application. The latch does not have to fit tightly to the catch as it will hold.
installation
As this latch Cupboard Privacy Latch 5″ is fairly straight forward to install, try to line up the latch plate with the catch so that when the latch is closed the catch bar looks horizontal.
Uses
These latches have many uses. Our customers have used them for kitchen cabinets – they look great as part of a rustic vintage kitchen design. Other uses include a privacy latch for bathroom and loos. One of the other uses our customers have for these latches is to hold closed internal wooden shutters.
