Fleur De Lys Rustic Handle

This small vintage black handle has beautiful fleur de lys detailing at each end. It has predrilled fixing plates.  This old type handle is ideal for country kitchens and cupboards. Matching fixings are provided.

The decorative antique fleur de lys ends measure 5cm wide. The traditional handle itself is 16cm long in total and 2cm wide across the grip. The depth from the surface it is mounted on measures 4.5cm, providing plenty of space to easily grasp the handle.

Hand Forged

Our cottage wrought iron products are all hand-forged, so though similar will not be identical. Each piece is hand-finished and given a beeswax coating.  All our hand-forged products are carefully aged for an authentic look.

Traditional

This vintage black handle has been made in the traditional way. The artisan blacksmiths we have chosen are all highly skilled. When you look at the item you will see the quality.  As these handles are hand-forged on the anvil you will see forge marks on the handles. Once we have had them forged they are coated in a layer of natural beeswax. The beeswax does two things for the handles. The first thing is to protect from rust. The second function is to even out the colour of the handles. The handle colour will be from black to rust.

Fittings

When you receive your package, you will have the correct number of screws with it to fit your handle. These are traditional black slotted screws with a dome head.

When fitting these screws, we would recommend that you first drill a small pilot hole or make a starter hole with? bradawl. This will ensure that your screws go in square to the handle and will be flush with the base plates of the handle.
