Our hat hook Wrought iron fleur de lys headed hook with a simple single hook features an elegant curl at the end. A row of these mounted on a wooden baseboard would look great in any kitchen or hallway.
This is a slightly longer fleur de lys hook than some of our other sizes and measures 12 cm from top to bottom. The fleur de lys trefoil fixing plate is 5 cm wide and the hook itself is 0.7 cm in diameter. The hook arm protrudes 5 cm from the surface it is mounted on. The inner curve of the hook is a generous 3.5 cm. It is particularly suited to hanging large or bulky items such as watering cans or tools.
Our wrought iron Fleur de Lys hooks are all hand forged. They will be similar but not be identical. Each piece is hand-finished and given a bee’s wax coating. All our hand-forged products are carefully aged for an authentic look.
Fixing screws are provided.
These are surface-mount hooks, so fitting is quite straightforward. If you are fitting to a wall, however, please pay special attention to any water pipes or buried electrical cables. You may choose to use this hook externally. However, after a period of time, you may see some surface rust start to appear. The surface rust will not affect the integrity of the hook and will only make it look more authentic and original. The hook may be painted. If you wish to do this, a good rub down with some wire wool will remove any surface rust and grime. A coat of good quality exterior outdoor paint will finish the job.
