L Hinge 3 Inch
A pair of our L Hinge 3 Inch antique style hinges these are rustic black iron L hinges for small door cabinets and furniture. The height measures 3 inches (7.5cm) and they are 9cm wide.
Our wrought iron antique style hinges are all individually hand-forged, so they are similar but not identical. Each piece is hand-finished and given a beeswax coating. All our hand-forged products are carefully aged. Once installed these products will look old and authentic.

Our hand forged old-style goods are produced in the traditional way. The cottage hinges are produced by artisan blacksmiths. These blacksmiths are chosen by us, not only for their metal working skills, but also for their passion for making products for us.

Forging
All of our antique-style hinges are hand-forged in the traditional way on the anvil.
Beeswax
Once our hinges have been hand-forged they are then ready to be dressed. To dress our hinges, we give them a coating of natural beeswax. The beeswax helps the hinges in two ways. Firstly, the wax filters into the tiny hole on the surface of the iron, this enables the wax to form a seal coat on the surface of the iron and will prevent excessive rusting. The wax will also give the ironwork a more consistent colour along its length.
Installation
As these hinges are surface mounted, they are relatively easy to fit. All the fixings that you will require to fit these hinges will be included with your package. In this case, the fittings will be screws. The screws will be black with a slotted domed head
