14″ Wall Candle Holder
h14″ Wall Candle Holder This antique candle holder is a wall mounted candle holder. It features a simple vintage handcrafted arrowhead detail. These black hand forged sconces look great either singly or as an old pair on either side of a fireplace.
The antique candle 14″ Wall Candle Holder measures 35cm high and the stem is 3.5cm wide. The traditional arrowhead measures 10cm by 10cm and the cottage candle base is 8cm in diameter.
Each item is hand finished and given a beeswax coating. All our hand-forged products are carefully aged for an authentic look. You will notice different areas of colour all over this product from black to rust. Candles are not included.
Forging
All of our range of these 14″ Wall Candle Holder sconces are hand forged. By this, we mean that the holders have been forged on the anvil. This is the oldest known method for producing wrought iron and the process goes back thousands of years. The sconces will show forging marks. The blacksmiths who make these are highly skilled artisans. This will show in the finished product.
Ageing
Once the 14″ Wall Candle Holder have been made, they are hand cleaned and hand polished. Beeswax is now used to coat the surface of the candle holders. The wax will now protect the sconce’s surface. We really want these scones to look old and original. So, the colour on each piece will be from black to a golden brown. h product is designed to look authentic and aged and will therefore have signs of rusting.
When your parcel arrives, it will contain the correct number of fixing screws. These screws will be black cottage style with a traditional slotted head
