Large Square D Handle

Description

This sturdy black handle is cast from solid iron. It is suitable for drawers, doors and cabinets. This 7-inch handle has slightly squared shoulders giving it a classic D shape. It is neither antique style or modern so a good choice in any contemporary or period home.  The handle has a smooth, plain finish and would be suitable for use in any room of the house.  They can be used outside, but as they are not painted, they will rust.  This, however, will not affect their integrity.

Measurements

This D vintage handle measures 175mm from end to end. The cottage handle grip itself is 18mm wide, tapering to 15mm at each end of the handle. The fixing plate is 30mm x25mm and the whole handle has a depth of 3 centimetres proud from the surface it is fixed to.

These handles are cast for us in small foundries. Each piece is individually cast, hand polished and cleaned. The artisan smiths who produce these products are dedicated and proud, which will show in the originality and quality of the product.

Fixing

All of our products are supplied with the necessary amount of black slotted screws.

We would recommend that when you fit the screws you firstly make a pilot hole. The pilot hole can be made in two ways, either with a bradawl or with a small drill. By making these starter holes, you will ensure that the screw is fitted squarely to the handles and that the screw heads fit flush with the handle base.
